Amidst the many announcements during last night's Nintendo Direct, the company slipped in the news that there will indeed be new Amiibos based on the new and returning fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. There are eight in total but they are coming in waves. Take a look below:
On April 12 we'll get:
- Daisy
- Ken
- Young Link
And later in the year:
- Solid Snake
- Simon
- Pokémon Trainer
- Squirtle
- Ivysaur

As someone who can never have too many Amiibos, and who also can't have too much Pokémon paraphernalia, I can't wait to add them to my ever-growing collection of useless toys.
